Research on corrosion of carbon steel in simulated boiler steam-water system

Abstract The metal materials corrosion in the boiler steam-water system influences safe and economic operation of system. In this work, experiment carbon steel is carried out high-temperature autoclave to simulate effect temperature dissolved oxygen on studied by weight loss rate, surface changes micro-morphology characterization. At 120~150°C, mainly dissolves pure water many spots are formed corroded samples. 200~300°C, oxidized less; especially at 350°C, covered with black ash material there almost no spot. content affects steel’s corrosion. should be controlled as low possible reduce steel.
